About this Program

Who is Eligible?
The AMA is pleased to offer membership resources and dedicated support to international medical school graduates (IMGs) who are currently ECFMG-certified and are waiting to match into a U.S. residency program (GME position). Join today to take advantage of IMG specific benefits and assistance provided by the AMA to individuals at this stage of their medical career.

Please note you must be ECFMG-certified and not yet in a residency program or practice to be eligible for this program. If you are not currently ECFMG-certified, please wait to apply until you receive your certification. The membership confirmation process can take up to 10 weeks. Until your information has been confirmed and your membership processed, you will not have access to AMA member benefits.
